I not so long ago got assorted books on New York for an upcoming trip. This one is my favorite. It is user friendly, and coordinated in an easy to use format. I in particular like how it is broken up into neighborhoods, and then further broken down. If you occur to be in midtown and are hungry, you may find a good restaurant. Looking for an art museum, shopping, or garden is just as easy. Also it includes selective information on how to get tickets in advance, and website addresses when avail. Can’t wait to use it.

Great pics, lots of elaborate info

I just ordered the latest edition of this book; I had the older version and it was great! I just used it for a walking tour of high rise lobbies and churches. It includes pictures and descriptions, maps, and it even shows opening times. I got the new one to assure that I have the latest opening times. If you are fascinated in the architecture and flavor of respective neighborhoods in Manhattan, it’s great. It’s organized by neighborhood so you may concentrate on one section of the city and pick out what you want to see. You may get a good idea of what you will see from the pictorial maps and photographs. This is a very utile book.

Practical Portable Guide – ‘Way more than “Top 10″!

So it says “Top 10″??? It’s MUCH more than that. My daughter and I used this on a recent 5 day trip to the Big Apple, and it helped us take numerous more bites of it than we’d anticipated, including ferry selective information for the Statue of Liberty, great restaurants in respective areas (in all price ranges), learning when it comes to free concerts at a Church near Ground Zero, how to navigate MoMA, and the like.
It’s not a heavy book, it’s purse-packable, and it’s exceedingly handy in design and features. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! While you might want to read others prior to heading to NYC, this one is the one to genuinely fetch along (maybe with some photocopied pages from others… if you insist!)
